Church Growth Tools: 1 – Congregation Mistakes

Thanks for making the decision to check out Church Growth Tools. We think you’ll find it was a good call.

As promised, here’s the first of 3 e-booklets:
18 Congregational Mistakes

Three Disclaimers Before Reading

  1. Come with an open mind: Much of what you read may contradict what you believe or have learned over the years. That’s OK. Even if you disagree, our hope is that it will lead to discussions with your staff, improvements to your congregation, and ultimately, more growth.
  2. Don’t beat yourself up: Inevitably, as you read, you will recognize some weaknesses and areas of improvement. Don’t panic. There is time to correct them and begin growing your church again. And keep in mind – everyone makes mistakes. Making mistakes often leads to new innovations. However, if you can avoid common mistakes others make, you are ahead of the game.
  3. Stick with it: Knowledge is only part of the equation, and can only lead to improvement when paired with Action. Stick with it, and encourage your staff to do the same.

Over the next few days, we’ll explore the 15 Mistakes you and your staff may be making unconsciously to sabotage the growth of your church (plus the bonus download, 10 Mistakes by Church Planters), as well as The Core Steps to Breaking 200, 500, and 1000 in Worship

Look forward to seeing you soon!
